Call OF Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Game Review: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a 1st person shooter video game. Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games with Raven Software developed the game while Activision published it. The game is 3rd installment in the Modern Warfare series. It is a direct sequel to 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, & the 8th Call of Duty installment. The game was released on 9th of November, 2011 in North America on Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Wii, and PlayStation 3, and a separate version for Nintendo DS which was developed by n-Space. The Wii version was released on 23rd of November, 2011 in Australia. Square Enix handled the installment in Japan, with a separate subtitled & dubbed version, as Call of Duty: Black Ops, released on 17th of November, 2011 and on 22nd of December, 2011 respectively. Within 24 hours of its release, the game sold total 6.5 million copies in the United States and UK alone and grossed about $400 million, making Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 the biggest entertainment launch of all time until surpassed by its successor Call of Duty: Black Ops II in 2012.
Call OF Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Gameplay: At Gamescom 2011, Activision confirmed that Modern Warfare 3 on the PC has dedicated servers support. The player assumes the role of many characters during the single player campaign, changing perspective throughout the progression of the game story, which is divided into 3 sets of missions called "Acts", like its predecessor. Each mission features a series of objectives that are displayed on the heads up display, that marks the direction & distance towards and from such objectives. The percentage of blood splatter shown on the screen displays the damage to the player. The health of the player regenerates over time. Mission objectives vary in player's requirements, ranging from having him arrive at a particular checkpoint to eliminating enemies in a certain location, to standing his ground against enemy squadrons and manning mini guns with other weapons provided, and planting explosive charges on an enemy installation. Some of these objectives can be failed & may or may not hinder progression of the story. The player is accompanied by his fellow soldiers who cannot be issued orders.
