Richard & Alice Game Review: Richard & Alice is a PC game, which describes the mystery story about family, desperation, and the weather. It has been developed and published by Denby Raze. Game was released on 21st February, 2013. Richard & Alice joins an array of true Indie games as it shows emotions, survival, and engaging conversations which takes the player through the life of Richard and Alice. The game world is engulfed in snow, and there is no end. The snow keeps on falling & people keep changing. Desperation has crept in & people kill each other for food, clothing and shelter gladly. You assume the role of Richard, a convicted deserter who is was put behind an underground prison. All the elements you have includes only a couch, a computer, a television, bathroom and a bed. The game story begins when you hear a noise from your opposite cell, it is been empty ever since Richard has moved into his cell. But there seems to be someone there and you shout out, asking him “Hello who is there?” and the story of a lifetime begins. If I tell anything more about the story, it would ruin the story and spoil the game, that will be very unfair.
Richard & Alice GamePlay: Richard & Alice is an old school point & click indie game, you interact with different objects by clicking on them. You move around, and use the famous point & click method. You solve puzzles throughout the game. Richard & Alice is basically filled with hundreds of little puzzles,emotional moments and comic. It has multiple endings, each provides a sense of closure to the player. The game also provides a lot of fun as you enjoy another playthrough.
Richard & Alice Conclusion: There are a lot of indie games that keep surprising the player with its unique story, but it has been a while since a game put you in a cell, & made you listen to other people’s stories. Richard & Alice game is not about killing soldiers or zombies. It is about survival, being a friend & getting out of a prison. But the question is, do you really want to be outside? In a world which has covered with snow and has filled with desperate men & women, the choice is not an easy one.
