Star Wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces II was made available on Steam on 16th of September, 2009. The game is based on the Star Wars franchise. Jedi Knight has received very positive response by critics. The game obtained  87% aggregate score on GameRankings. Star Wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces II's storyline features Kyle Katarn. He is the protagonist of Dark Forces. Father of Katarn had been murdered by a Dark Jedi in the location of The Valley of the Jedi. In the game, Katarn will follow the Dark Jedi to the Valley in order to confront his father's killers. Star Wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces II has added some gameplay and technical improvements over its predecessor. The powerful game engine has used in the game that supports 3D acceleration, using Direct3D 5.0. The game has included a multiplayer mode which allows players to compete online over the internet or offline over a local area network. 

Star Wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces II GamePlay: Star Wars Jedi Knight Dark Forces II is a first person shooting game but offers the choice of a 3rd person view. The game is classified into Twenty one levels with distinct objectives. The player must complete these given objectives to continue to the next level. There are various weapons provided in each level and after level 3, the player will be able to use a lightsaber. The lightsaber is an effective weapon. It is also a useful tool for the player, as it provides light in dark areas. It deflects incoming blaster fire. There are 3 types of force powers, these powers are light, dark & neutral. Light Force powers provide the player nonviolent advantages. Like if the player uses Light Force Power, he is being able to restore health or persuade enemies. Dark Force powers are Violent and give the player an ability to throw objects or Choke enemies. While Neutral powers are to enhance athletic abilities. This power make the player able to jump higher or run faster.
