Dishonored PC Game Review: Dishonored 2012 is an action packed stealth & adventure game created by Arkane Studios and launched by Bethesda Softworks. This game was released globally in October of the year 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows. Its plot is set in the fictional, plague infested city called "Dunwall". Here a man named Corvo Attano, who is the Empress's legendary guard, is framed for her murder and forced to become an stealthy assassin, determined upon seeking revenge against those who ruined his life. Attano is helped in his mission by "the Loyalists" (which is a resistance group struggling to reclaim Dunwall)and the Outsider(a powerful entity who grants Corvo with magical powers). Several well-known actors and actresses including Susan Sarandon, Carrie Fisher, Billy Lush, Michael Madsen, Chloë Grace Moretz, Brad Dourif and Lena Headey have shown the charm of their voices for the game.
Dishonored Game's Story: Dishonored game takes place in an imaginary place called Dunwall, where otherworldly entities and technology coexist. Dunwall's design is modeled on the lines of Edinburgh and London (as they were between the end of the 1800s and the early 1900s). Dunwall is dominated by an oppressive government that rose to power shortly after the assassination of the Empress and the abduction of her daughter. The city of Dunwall is a center for whaling and fishing. Here whale oil is a valuable resource that is needed to power the city. After the philosopher named Esmond Roseburrow found out that whale oil(or trans as called in Dunwall)can be utilized as a fuel, the regime used it to create a powerful range of weapons, this in exchange bred corruption within the government. The city is infested with a plague carried by dogs and rats. It kills the poor and isolates those with wealth. The infected ones called (weepers) as they cry blood and sometimes become violent. The government uses this lethal plague as an excuse to take or purge citizens according to their will. Law and order is maintained by the (tallboys) who are heavily armored officers on long, mechanical legs. City districts are isolated from one another energy barriers dubbed as the (Walls of Light). They simply vaporize anyone who attempts to cross them. A secret league of activists called (the Loyalists) plans a coup against the cruel regime and returns the throne to the Empress' daughter.
Dishonored Gameplay: Dishonored 2012 is an action based adventure game which is played from a first-person angle with primary focus on stealthy action and the employment of amazing gadgets and the surroundings to neutralize opposing forces. This game world offers a series of self-contained, quest-centered regions modeled for various avenues of exploration in terms of in-game feats and powers. Between the quests, the gamer is transported to a safe house termed as the (Hound Pits Pub). Here the gamer-character can meet with his friends, access mission briefings and alternate targets and turn the recovered loot for new and useful equipment upgrades. In-game points including royal estates, loading docks, a bathhouse and poverty-stricken streets of the city. The gamer can save his or her progress anywhere and a checkpoint save system is available. But the two saving mechanisms are not meant to work during a combat. The game has 4 difficulty levels which influence the mana potions and effectiveness of health, responsiveness, the awareness of an enemy and damage delivered. In the case of easy settings, health regeneration can be done.
Dishonored Game's Ratings: Criticism was showered on the game's narrative which was thought to be predictable, while some problems were pointed out in controlling the character. All-in-all Dishonored 2013 obtained positive remarks from critics. Aggregating website GameRankings granted an average rating of ninety percent based on fourteen reviews for the Windows version of Dishonored, eighty-nine percent based on 32 reviews for the PS game version and for the Xbox 360 version eighty-nine percent based on thirty-eight reviews. Metacritic provided a score of 91/100 from twenty critical reviews for the Dishonored 2012 Windows version, for the PlayStation 3 version an 89/100 rating from thirty-five critics and 88/100 rating gained from fifty-six critics for the Xbox 360 version of Dishonored 2012.
