Created by HB Studios and launched by EA Sports, Cricket 2005 was released in July 2005 for Windows, Xbox and PS2.This cricket game was released in 3 different region based covers. Daniel Vettori on the New Zealand cover, Adam Gilchrist was portrayed on the Australian cover and Andrew Flintoff on the British cover. This was the last game to have all real cricket player names. The gameplay has faced criticism for being too tough; to bat even on the easiest of difficulty stages can be a struggle. Unlike rival game Brian Lara International, EA Cricket 2005 has fully licensed players, but no licensed kits. This game's popularity rating is in decline due to other games getting better reviews by both critics as well as gamers. The different international teams featured here are Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, England Netherlands, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Namibia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Scotland, South Africa, USA and West Indies.

EA Cricket 2005 GamePlay: Fairly strong bowling has used in the game,as before in EA's cricket games. You can swing the ball. At the end of all the overs, Hawk-eye can be used to length and movement of every ball. The actions of the bowlers in the game are really impressing. Batting is also very easy to do as you can hit sixes without any difficulty in the first over. Isn't it amazing?? One good thing added in the game is to move the batsman at the start of every delivery which will give you a realistic chance to hit the drives as the opposing team's players will be on leg-stump. You can play number of different strokes according to your choice.

The stadiums in the game look superb.As compared to the previous games of the series of EA cricket, bowling is immensely improved which is one of the good change made in the game. When the ball hit boundary,the camera focuses on umpire. The game's graphics are not frustrating at all, infact subtle graphics have been used inthe game. The sound of the game is just fine, not special. But the sound effects are pretty good. The commentary done in the game is pertinent.
