Hitman: Codename 47 Game Review: Hitman: Codename 47 is an action and adventure stealth game. It was developed by IO Interactive & published by Eidos Interactive. The game is the 1st entry in the Hitman series, followed by Hitman 2 Silent Assassin. Codename 47's story centers around Agent 47, who is a bald test subject branded with a barcode tattooed on the back of his head. Agent 47 is rigorously trained in methods of murder. Agent 47 is hired by the Agency, which is a European contract killing organization, upon escaping from a test facility. Agent 47's mission takes him to several locations in Asia & Europe to assassinate wealthy & decadent criminals.

Hitman: Codename 47 GamePlay: Codename 47 takes place from a 3rd person perspective, while the control setup is similar to a 1st person shooter as 47's movements are restricted to strafing, moving forward and turning. Each level of Codename 47 takes place in an open environment which is populated with armed guards and non-player civilians. Although mission criteria may vary, the main goal is generally to find Agent 47's assigned target & kill them by any means possible. However, the path may appear linear, it's possible for the player through various ways to accomplish the mission & approach a target directly without eliciting a violent reprisal. Codename 47 essentially emphasises stealth & silent kills without raising alerts, giving you a higher financial reward for doing so. The player is given penalties in the form of financial deductments. For example, if the player kills civilians, but none of the guards are slain. When the money is used to purchase weapons & ammo during the course of the game, It pressures the player to utilise stealth, disguise & melee based mechanics for the most cost effective method to take out targets.

Hitman: Codename 47 Game's Soundtrack: The soundtrack of Hitman: Codename 47 is composed by Jesper Kyd but was never released until it came in a dual disk pack in the year 2005.
