Cabelas Dangerous Hunt 2013 PC Game Review: Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2003 is a simulation game by Cabela's (which is well konwn hunting, fishing, and outdoor equipment retailer) and Activision for the PC, PS2 and Xbox gaming platforms.Dangerous Hunts is an FPS game in which the player embarks on hunting trips. The game has options like"Quick Hunt", which enables players to jump right into the action by selecting, a hunting tag and then hunting down the animal. In "Action Zone" mode, you start off in a small pocket of a map and a certain dangerous animals will appear. Once all the animals are hunted by the player, a portal opens up for them to the next level. he "Career Mode" feature, allows gamers to create a profile and then customize things like stats, age, and appearance after which the challenge starts. In all 3 modes if a player hits a non-game animals, he will have to play that level again. Terrain of the area is another thing the player should pay attention to. Deep streams and high ledges should be avoided because if someone fells in these it results in a serious injury and failing the hunt. Aggressive beasts such as bear, cape buffalo, and leopard will leap at you, which too can injure and fail you. The gamer also has an energy limit. After hunting for some time, the player will get exhausted and should slow down. This phenomenon can be reduced by carrying lighter equipment which saves stamina. There are 12 exotic locations which feature 26 wild animals, both are exotic and average. The animals like rhinoceros, hyena and zebra are more difficult to hunt down than elk,deer and wolf.There are also a number of weapons to choose including 11 types of hunting rifles, 3 different types of pistols, 2 types of bows, a crossbow and 3 large hunting knives for self defense. The player can also deploy different technical items to aid in the hunt. Things like scent removers and various animal calls will help attract the animals to be hunted, whereas ground blinds and tree stands help camouflage the player and his equipment. It should be noted that the time of year affects the overall behavior of the animals.This game got mixed reviews from critical sources, 6.8 out 10 awarded by IGN while a 6.1/10 ranking by the press. The game have "passable" gameplay features and a very neat feeling to it. This game can be found in the PS2's Greatest Hits series. The game's sequel, Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2, was revealed in 2005 for PS2, Xbox, PC and GameCube consoles.In the year 2008, Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 was released for Xbox 360, Wii, PS2 and PlayStation three platforms. In October, 2010 Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 was released for the Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, and PS3. Finally Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2013 was released in October, last year on the for the Wii, Xbox 360,PC and PS 3 gaming machines.
