Mashed Drive To Survive Game Review: Mashed is a racing video game by Empire Interactive for the Xbox,PlayStation 2 and PC. It was made by Supersonic Software using the RenderWare engine. It is a top-down racing plus vehicular combat game similar in to Micro Machines,Super Sprint and Circuit Breakers. In USA Mashed game was released in the end of 2006 for Playstation 2 and Xbox, titled as "Drive to Survive", that is the original subtitle for the game. It is note worthy that the game was then re-priced at 10 dollars/unit.
Mashed Drive To Survive Gameplay: Each level has four vehicles. The player must navigate various obstacles and obtain weapon pickups to win the level. The game support a left-behind principle that is the camera tries to keep all the players in one screen and if someone drops far enough behind in the race they get eliminated and the other players continue racing. This happens until there is single player left, who is awarded two points while the rest of the competitors also get or lose points according to their final standing position in that particular round. This system repeats until one player reaches a specific number of score points usually 10 or more. In multiplayer game mode those players who have been knocked out ther are given the option of striking cars still racing with partially controlled missiles termed airstrikes.This game version contains various game fixes, extra weapons, vehicles and tracks, as it was made on another engine to that of the first game. Also the game features improved sound effects, intelligent graphics and short load times.Mashed Fully Loaded portrays 15 main courses namely Angel Peak, Ventura Boulevard, Fort Gidlow,Koko Bay, Tierra Piedra, Kharga Temple, Neustein Demolition Nukov,Keister Bay, Hattan City,Polar Wharf, Silver Creek, Redpool Tip and more.Mashed Fully loads features 9 weapon types like Proximity Mine which can be dropped up to two proximity mines at the rear of the player vehicle.Drum Bomb drops explosive barrels behind the players car.Oil Slick this spills oil on the road behind the player vehicle which decreases the grip for any car that drives on it.Flamethrower is a rear fired weapon which burns vehicles it hits.Shotgun can fire shotgun blasts from both angles of the player car.Homing Missile is a missile which can be guided onto an opponent vehicle.Machine Gun is a front fired gun which employs a laser sight for targeting.Flash Bang is a weapon that blasts with a flash which whites out the entire view for a short time interval making it impossible for other players to veiw their vehicles.Mortar is a weapon fired from the front in three shots that explode on impact.

Mashed Drive To Survive Rating: Mashed was considered in its reviews as being one of the best multiplayer games to be made. In United Kingdom it was awarded a 9/10 from OPSM2 and positive reviews from other games magazines. But the merit was generally not seen in the United States with Ryan Davis of GameSpot giving the game a 2.3 out of 10 who criticized the camera moves, Artificial Intelligence, design, and controls of this game.
