Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams Game Review: Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams 2012 or Project Giana 2012 is a platform video game made by Black Forest Games for Microsoft Windows. It is the sequel to the 1987 Commodore 64 game Great Giana Sisters and the 2009 re-imagining Giana Sisters DS. The game was financed through donations from the game's fans on the Kickstarter website, with amount up to One hundred and Fifty thousand dollars. After the development of the DS version in 2009, Spellbound Entertainment was declared bankrupt. Shortly after the dissolution of the games development firm, Black Forest Games was established by the top brass from Spellbound. This latest game development company decided to move with on their own resources and took control of all Spellbound assets, also the intellectual property. Along with Windows release, a console version is planned on the XBoxLA and PlayStation Network for digital downloading. Potential OUYA assistance in the future has also been declared by the developer. Maria is kidnapped and transported to the Dream World, where a huge dragon holds her captive. It is now up Giana(Maria's sister), who has become a teenager in now, to get into the Dream World and rescue her. Because she is in that period of her life that is all about change, she has acquired the skill of manipulating her dreams. She has to use this newly developed capability to switch between dreams and convert herself into a Cute & Punk persona so as to handle the conflict within her and fear while she looks for Maria. John Walker from Rock, Paper, Shotgun commented that the game "look very beautiful. It’s a jigsaw platformer where can control not only the protagonist, as well as the mood of the surrounding".
