The region of Albatropolis is not blessed with the sounds of birds chirping cheerfully. Under the penguin rule, life for the life of the birdies of this kingdom is grim. But there is a ray hope. As the brave single-bird force called as Hardboiled Chicken, we must fight your way deep into the penguin base and take out their leaders, overthrowing the cruel government for the sake of all. Rocketbirds Hardboiled Chicken game is a combination of Two-Dimensional shooting and puzzle-solving title with enough variety to get your attention, but it does not make enough of its scrambled parts to do its extraordinary hero and humorous independent justice. These are some really angry birds. Hardboiled Chicken is that kind of superb supersoldier you might produce if you fuse chickie DNA with that of Rambo. He may be the only birdie who is capable to the task of overthrowing the penguin government, but unfortunately, his rigid movement keeps him from being all that ability to control. The stiff controls rarely intervene in the gamer's progress, though, because the combat mechanism is very simple. Unlike in common Two-Diemensional shooters, you cannot really detect the bullets as they pierce through the air. If an enemy gets in the line of your fire when you pull the trigger, he will get shot, the great force of your bullets pushing him off of the ground as his blood splashes on the wall. The amazing juxtaposition of such extreme gorey imagery with anthropomorphic birds is really humorous at the first glance. But soon the amazement wears off, and the gameplay is worn down by its own simplicity. Just aim your weapon at a bad birdie and hold the button down the trigger until you see feathers flying all over the place which indicates you that penguin has been eliminated. You finally have to face shielded enemies who can be hurt only from the back, but having to sprint or roll past a bad guy before you can take him out does not do much to make the shooting more attractive. It is a nice thing, then, that the firing does not have to stand on its own base. It's infested with environmental puzzles you at many instances have to solve in so as to progress. Many of these are easy puzzles that just require you to gather key cards, push boxes to specific points so that you can reach high ledges and use elevators. Rocketbirds Hardboiled Chicken 2011 has been given a "fair" rating of 6/10 by GameSpot and has received the score from Metacritic.
